Tour 2023 – alternative
Unfortunately I had to postpone my „Tour de Tim 2023“ due to a Covid-19 infection in July 2023 towards 2024.
However, to raise funds for Samuel Koch and friends (our refugee home for severely disabled people from Ukraine, which is in the village where I live), I have opted for a slightly less strenuous activity and am happy to call for donations as part of my „Drechsel-Marathon 2023“ (lathe- and woodwork) which will be combined with sales of the woodwork results.
This way you can do good and get something back at the same time.
This is how you can take part in the “Drechsel-Marathon 2023”:
- Donate
Donate without receiving something from the offer below. Please transfer a donation with the keyword „Drechsel-Marathon 2023“ to the account of Samuel Koch and Friends e.V. using the keyword “Drechsel-Marathon 2023” or to the benevity fundraising option.

If you want to buy one or more of the results (from 15 “stages”) of the woodturning marathon 2023 like salt shakers, bowls or Christmas figures, then please send me an email (timwessel.bamlach@web.de) and let me know which item you want to have and what you want to pay for it. Orientation is give at each item, but please feel free to pay more, as 100% of that fee will be handed over to Samuel Koch und Freunde e.V. (shipment cost are on my expenses, except for oversea-shipment).

the need for donations
is due to the fact that for some time now, in a tense situation, we have been following every day what comes next, how the situation in Ukraine develops – or not. This whole situation is exhausting, takes a toll on the substance and pushes many people to their limits. This also applies to the helpers from the association „Samuel Koch and Friends e.V.“, who sacrifice themselves to enable the victims (our severely disabled refugees from Ukraine) to have an acceptable existence.

Costs, e.g. for fuel for trips to authorities, hospitals, for excursions and a bit of free time, are borne from the association’s funds and are not reimbursed by anyone. To ensure that this bit of normality continues to be possible, I ask for support in the form of a donation, just as I donate.
